Inspired by change, challenge and creativity

Just a short little post to say hello and welcome to my new blog.  I will be writing once a week on Thursdays about things that make me happy and inspire me.  I hope you will pop in and be part of the conversations.

And why did I pick the name, Living From Happiness?

I have found my life is so much better when I live from happiness with gratitude rather than living for happiness.

“When you’re happy for no reason, you bring happiness to your outer experiences rather than trying to extract happiness from them. You don’t need to manipulate the world around you to try to make yourself happy. You live from happiness, rather than for happiness.”

I’m really interested to see what themes you explore to elaborate on happiness. I think we all need all the ideas and support we can have. Another of the Dalai Lama quotes that moves me is: “Participating joyfully in the sorrows of this world.” That speaks to me now.

First post is up finally. I am letting it flow for now as this site will help my healing as V and V did. I like the quote from the Dalai Lama and will remember it for the future. Change, challenges and creativity have been the catalysts for me lately as I work through life…glad you are here Susie!
